My sponsor Vicki came over and helped me unpack and stay organized since David had to work. With her help we got the entire kitchen unpack and mostly put away. I am still trying to figure out how I want everything to go. So far only a couple of things have been broken. They broke off two of the hooks on the coat tree that Grandpa Fuchs made me and a couple figurines.
Oh and our mattress didn't make it. Evidently our moving company only asked for customs clearance for 4 crates instead of 5. The 5th crate being our mattress. The moving company has assured me that they will deliver it sometime this week but we will see.
My goal for today is to get all of the boxes unpacked so I can have the moving company come pick up all of the empty boxes before this weekend.
I am still missing a bunch of furniture which the Embassy owes me but has not delivered from the warehouse. Once I get those pieces we will be all set. I am hoping to start to decorating for Christmas this weekend!
Well hope you are all well! Love from Athens....
Glad to hear most of your stuff has finally arrived! Sorry to hear a couple of things were broken, but I'm sure you're excited that it is starting to feel more like home!
ReplyDeleteSounds great! Hope everything that did make it arrived in good shape. You two take care. Love,

I've always wondered how the Europeans get all the big stuff up the never ending flights of stairs! It all makes sense now!
