Happy Sunday!

Well we had a very nice 3 day weekend. On Friday we went to Astir Beach again right outside of Athens we Dan, Stacey, Colin, Susan, Scott, Kaylin and Dan and Stacey's friends Jim and Sophia. It was a really beautiful day and the beach is so fantastic. On Saturday David and I went to a very nice beach in a little village about 1.5 hours outside of Athens. It was a pebble beach and the water was crystal clear with lots of fish. We forgot our snorkel gear so we are planning to head back there next weekend and see what kind of fish we can see. Today we slept in and watched some of the Olympics. Since you guys get all of the big events at night AFN plays them for us the following morning. I DVRed through the Slingbox the women's gymnastics's team competition because I knew I would be at work when AFN showed it but we have gotten to see most of the swimming and the bigger events.

Not too much else going on this week. The Greeks are still out of Athens which is great! It has been nice and quiet and we are not complaining.

Only two more weeks before we get to go on our summer vacation to the island of Kefalonia so we are slowly starting to get ready for that. Well all for now. Enjoy the pictures!

Back in Greece!

Well I am back in Greece! The flight back was surprisingly easy (as it is a little shorter going East). Lufthansa lost by bag. I was terrified that I would never see it again because the Greeks are not very reliable but the German efficiency of Lufthansa overcame and it was at our house by mid morning on Monday. I didn't sleep at all on the flight and I had to wait for my bag to show up so I didn't go into work on Monday.

We actually had a pretty nice little thunder storm on Sunday night which is very rare for this time of year. Last year Athens didn't get any rain from May until after we arrived in October. I guess the rain was following me.

David seems to be glad to have me back and I was so proud when I came back to a clean house! I am still pretty jet lagged and only got about 3.5 hours of sleep last night but luckily we have a three day weekend this weekend (Another Greek Holiday on Friday) so I will have time to rest up. Planning on getting some nice beach time in with some friends on Friday and David is planning some day trips on Saturday and Sunday for us.

Shannon and Jerry's wedding was wonderful and Shannon was an absolutely beautiful bride. I have added some pictures in for you guys to checkout. I am very thankful to have such great friends!

I start school on Monday! I am a little nervous but mostly just excited!

Thanks for making my trip home so great! It was wonderful to get to see everyone and spend some time catching up. I can't wait to make it back for Christmas. Need to get back to work or start working. We will take some pictures this weekend to post for next week.
