Hey everyone! Well today I went to the farmers market with Stacy, Colin and Vicki. The farmers market has to be my favorite part of Athens. When I got home I found out my the constant beeping coming from my security system that the power was out. I called the Embassy and was told that the entire neighborhood of Papagou was without power. Let it be known that it is a beautiful sunny day here in Athens and the power is out for no apparent reason. Luckily the power came back on in about an hour.

I spent most of the afternoon wrapping presents and trying to decorate for Christmas. I have my wreath up on the door and garland on the fireplace. I am waiting for some new stockings that I ordered from Kohl's over 3 weeks ago. We bought lights for the balcony which I am going to wait until this weekend to string because right now the balcony is filled with boxes at the moment. Hopefully when they deliver the mattress they will take the boxes away. Still waiting to buy a Christmas tree. We are going to try to go again this weekend to look at fake trees because we still haven't seen any live trees lots.

Headed out for another run today with Vicki back up to Imitos. Should be a great run because it is such a pretty day here today. Hope you all are having a wonderful week.

Love from Athens...

  1. Hello! As to the power being out on a bright sunny day. Try not to think about it - that sort of thing will make you crazy if you try to apply U.S. logic! Take care you two. Love, Dad / Dave I.
