We spent Memorial Day weekend in Germany with our friends the Byrne's, who are posted in our embassy in Berlin and were previously posted with us in Athens. We met at a resort about halfway in between Brussels and Berlin and rented two side-by-side cottages for the weekend. The resort was pretty cool and really caters to families. It had a huge indoor water-park that was pretty impressive and both parents and kids had a great time. This was John's first time swimming and he loved it! The water was really warm and they had a nice baby pool and we even took him down a few slides. Below are some pictures from the weekend.

Oh, my gosh. I didn't realize that had truly been his first time swimming. He did so great! Wow, what brave parents you are because if he hadn't like it, it would have been a bummer. I'm so glad we got to spend such a happy weekend with you all. John David is just a doll!
